Application Status Information
Information for Fall 2014 Bachelor of Commerce Applicants
All applications are reviewed for eligibility by the Alberta School of Business Undergraduate Program Office. Information regarding admission decisions and registration access is available through Bear Tracks.
*March 3 Update* The Undergraduate is processing applications for offers of Early Admission with Conditions to the BCom programs, to qualified applicants with Fall Term GPAs of 3.5 and higher. Please refrain from contacting the Undergraduate Office by phone or email regarding the status of your application, as this will result in further processing delays.
Admission processing for offers of Final Admission to the BCom program will begin after the June 15 transcript deadline and will continue until the quota has filled. In some cases, admission decisions may not be made until the end of August. Applications must be complete with all required official transcripts and documents received before an applicant will be considered for an offer of Final Admission to the BCom program. Updates on admission processing will be included on this page throughout the admission processing period.
Please check Bear Tracks for admission decisions. If your application status on Bear Tracks is PENDING, no official admission decision has been made by the Alberta School of Business. You should note that you will not have registration access to any Business courses until you have been officially admitted to the BCom program. If admitted to the BCom program, students will receive their program flowchart and admission letter emailed to their ualberta email account.
You can view the up-to-date status of your application on Bear Tracks. The Application Status page on Bear Tracks allows you to track the entire application and admission process online - from submission of your application and requested documents to the result of an admission decision.
Bear Tracks will indicate if you have any outstanding required items, such as non U of A transcripts or course descriptions. Please confirm that you have submitted all required items listed on the To-Do List on Bear Tracks. If you are currently attending a college or university within Alberta your institution may automatically send an electronic copy of your transcript to the U of A. U of A students are not required to submit U of A transcripts.
If you have difficulties navigating Bear Tracks, please consult the User Guide. Applicants are responsible for ensuring all required items have been received by the Office of the Registrar.
Please Update your Contact Information

Ualberta Email Account
The University of Alberta and the Alberta School of Business use electronic communication (via your ualberta email account) with its students and applicants in lieu of many paper-based processes. Please refer to the Electronic Communications Policy for more information. Please note: official offers of admission to the BCom program will be emailed to your ualberta email account.
Effective for the Fall 2014 term, new undergraduate students who have been offered admission will have to pay a non-refundable $500 Tuition Deposit before they can become eligible to register in courses. Newly admitted students are encouraged to pay their Tuition Deposit as soon as possible after being admitted, so that they can register in courses. You will not have registration access on Bear Tracks until this deposit has been paid. Newly admitted students can pay their Tuition Deposit on Bear Tracks, or via any method listed on the Financial Services website. This deposit will be credited towards the final tuition amount.
Effective for the Fall 2014 term, continuing U of A undergraduate students will no longer be required to pay the $175 Confirmation Deposit, nor will they be required to pay the new $500 Tuition Deposit.
Please Read the U of A Calendar
