Globalizing, Managing, and Management Accounting Conference

Colleagues, welcome to the conference web site. Here you will be able to register for the conference as well as access the papers which will be presented at the conference.

The conference will be held at the Stollery Centre, Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, on September 21-22, 2007

The conference will focus on the inter-relations between processes of globalization and technologies of management and this emphasis will help to progress our understanding of both globalization and Management Accounting. The conference will be limited to about 35 participants. Participants will be interdisciplinary and international. The conference is being supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Certified Management Accountants of Alberta

Papers for the conference must be submitted to David Cooper as soon as possible, at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta (david.cooper@ualberta.ca) and accepted papers will be available on the conference website by 1 September. Authors of selected papers will have their travel expenses reimbursed (subject to a maximum depending on location). While the majority of the people attending the conference will be presenters, researchers with an interest in attending can also register for the event. The conference will provide 3 nights’ accommodation and meals during the conference for all those who register for the conference by August 15.
