Our Business Career Services Team brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm in coaching students to achieve their career goals or helping employers succeed with their campus recruiting. We have five Alberta School of Business alumni, and everyone in the office is a U of A alumni. Whether you’re a student or employer, take advantage of our services.

 

 

Dale McNeely
Director

Dale joined the Business Career Services office as a Co-op Coordinator in May 2003 and completed his MBA in 2005.  Dale has been at the University of Alberta since 1996 as Manager of the Faculty of Physical Education Gymnastics Centre. He has over 20 years work experience in amateur sport, coaching, administration and volunteering, where responsibilities included academic teaching, community based program management, facility management, staff recruitment, training and development.

 

Michelle Height
Career Development and Recruitment Specialist
Business Career Services

Michelle joined Business Career Services shortly after completing her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree at the U of A and has been with the office for nearly a decade. Throughout her varying roles as Recruitment Assistant, Recruitment Coordinator and now as Assistant Director the one constant has been her focus on high quality service for both our students and employer partners. She is involved in everything from student counseling to employer relations and job posting management to special event and interview coordination. Her goal as Assistant Director is to provide all students in the faculty with the resources and information needed to succeed. Michelle firmly believes that there are few jobs more rewarding than helping students find meaningful employment. 

 

Enzo DiCurzio
Coordinator, Business Cooperative Education

Enzo is an alumnus of the Commerce program at the U of A. Working in private industry for 12 years, Enzo has spent the last nine year's in coop related work, placing Engineering, MBA and Commerce students. Success stories from students who have gone through the Coop and found their niche in the workplace has been very satisfying for Enzo." Students are our ambassadors so we need to make sure they have  a great coop experience. A true indication of our success is when co-op alumni come back to hire co-op students."

 

Heather Kennedy-Plant
Coordinator, Business Cooperative Education


Heather joined the Business Career Services team as a Co-op Coordinator in 2007 and is responsible for a range of activities to support Cooperative Education degree students in reaching their goals, including admission interviews, career counselling, business placement development, site visits/evaluations, and co-op program administration. Heather has been an advisor and administrator, at the University of Alberta, since moving to Edmonton from the interior of British Columbia in 1999. Before joining the Alberta School of Business she worked at the Faculty of Education and then with University of Alberta International, in the Education Abroad Program. Heather holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Policy Studies, with a specialization in Adult Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree, both obtained from the University of Alberta.  Additionally, Heather has a diploma in Child Psychology, and Supervisory Development certification from the Alberta School of Business at the University of Alberta.   

 

 

Melanie Tymofichuk
Coordinator, Business Cooperative Education

Melanie joined the office in 2003 as a Co-op Coordinator. In addition to working with employers to develop Business Co-op opportunities, she prepares students for work placements and assists with their career planning. Melanie has several years of marketing experience gained in the private sector and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Cooperative Education from the University of Alberta.
