Tell us about your career interests and you could win the new Apple iPad 3!

The School of Business is pleased to be participating in a national research study of student interests and attitudes regarding their careers and employers. The report, known as From Learning to Work, will help employers better understand how to attract students and graduates while also helping us learn how to better serve you with career planning support.

All respondents to the survey are eligible to enter a draw for an Apple iPad 3.

All responses will be treated as confidential and not associated with your identity in any way.

Thank you for considering being a part of this important study.

NEW for 2011-12- International Co-op Placement Award

Beginning in the 2011-12 year, the School of Business will support a limited number of students who are on an International (outside of Canada) Co-op Placement. This award is intended to help defray the extra costs associated with an international placement (travel and visa costs), and the lower salary or wages associated with most international placements. See the full award description for more details.

Good news for international students who wish to stay on in Canada and work after graduation!

"The federal department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) announced new rules for international students who wish to stay on in Canada and work after graduation (April 21, 2008, CIC announcement released in Vancouver, B.C.).

According to the new regulations effective immediately, international students who have graduated with degrees and diplomas can obtain a work permit with no restrictions on the type of employment and no requirement for a job offer. In addition, the duration of the work permit has been extended to three years across the country. Previously, the program only allowed international students to work for one or two years, depending on both the location of the city of studies and employment."
