Rosemary Domecki was born and raised in Edmonton where she received a French immersion education at L’Academie de l’Assomption. Rosemary graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1977.

After graduation, she worked as a Property Manager for Rancho Realty, a division of Qualico Developments, before joining her family’s business, Domtex Investments Ltd. and Concord Engineering Ltd. in 1979. Shortly thereafter, Rosemary assumed responsibility for the US operations in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Dallas in 1982 to open a branch office.

In Dallas, she engaged in all facets of commercial real-estate investment and multi-family development. As well as managing the US operation, she continues to play an active role in managing the Canadian enterprises in Edmonton.

In 1989, Rosemary travelled to the burgeoning new market in post-Communist Europe to found Eastern European Arts. She worked with juried artists teaching them to prosper in the new economy. She exhibited and sold Eastern European art to the Texas market from 1989 to 1998 and remains an avid supporter of the arts in Dallas.

Rosemary Domecki has been a dedicated Rotarian since 1991 and has served Rotary in many leadership positions. In addition to various local community service awards she is the recipient of the Rotary International Service Award for Contributions to Humanity and World Peace. Rosemary has served on numerous philanthropic boards in the Dallas community and is an active member of Dallas Social Venture Partners which provides support to non-profits using the venture capital model.

Rosemary Domecki is currently residing in Dallas, Texas, but maintains close Canadian ties to her family, friends, and her roots.
