Phil Lachambre is currently President of PCML Consulting Inc. and serves on a number of corporate and Not-for-Profit boards, including Capital Power Corporation, Flint Energy Services Ltd., GLM Industries Inc., and the University Hospital Foundation.

Phil has 39 years of experience in the oil and gas and mining sectors, of which 31 years were with Syncrude Canada Ltd. He was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President of Syncrude in 1997 and held the position of CFO from 1994 until his retirement in February, 2007. His areas of responsibility during his career at Syncrude included controllers, treasury and pension, legal, regulatory affairs, corporate environment, health and safety, closure and reclamation, corporate strategy and business planning, business development, human resources, information services and technology, government and public affairs, investor and stakeholder relations, procurement and contracts, company housing, aboriginal affairs and corporate aviation.

Phil Lachambre received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in 1976. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s Executive Management Program (1984) and has a Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) designation (1982) from the Purchasing Management Association of Canada.

Phil was born in Edmonton and has two children: Marc and Jacqueline. He is married to Cathy MacDonald who has three children: Mitchell, Sarah and Ashley. His interests include golfing, fishing, hunting, and running.
