Mr. Funke is Chairman of the Board of Prueftechnik AG, a privately held HighTec company in Munich. As owner and President of AMIG Investments GmbH, he invests in and coaches European start-up companies.

In 1994 Mr Funke joined Multitest when he orchestrated a management buy out and assumed the position of President and COO. In 1998, he became CFO and was appointed CEO in 2001 after the sale of Multitest to Dover Corporation, a NYSE company. Multitest is the world market leader for gravity feed and MEMS testhandlers for the semiconductor industry. Mr. Funke grew the company from 180 to 900 employees and from €20 million to €200 million sales. He left Multitest in December 2009 to pursue new entrepreneurial  challenges.

Prior to joining Multitest, Mr. Funke held positions with Matuschka Capital, Munich, and with Halder Capital, Frankfurt, two German venture capital and buy-out companies.

Mr Funke is an active Business Angel and as such he is a Member of two European Business Angel networks. He is also a member of EO - The Entrepreneurs’ Organization, where he was President of the German Chapter from 2007 - 2009.

Mr Funke is married with one daughter and lives in Munich, Germany. His recreational activities involve cycling, skiing, golfing, his car collection, and travelling.
