Court Carruthers is President, Grainger US. In this role, he is responsible for Grainger’s operations in the United States, which include 13,000 team members and sales in excess of $6 billion. Grainger is the leading global distributor of industrial and safety supplies, with sales of $8 billion.  Most recently, Court served as President, Grainger International where he was responsible for the company’s operations in 20 countries outside the US.

Previously Court served as President of Grainger's Canadian subsidiary, Acklands-Grainger, which was the first industrial company to be recognized as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures.

Court holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Alberta, an MBA from Queen’s University, is an Institute-Certified Director, and is a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada.

He has previously served as Director of Kids Help Phone and the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, and is Past Chair of the United Way of York Region Campaign.  He is also a past Director of Monotaro, a leading Japanese internet distributor which trades on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Court was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under Forty for 2007. He lives in Lake Forest, Illinois with his wife Kirstin and two young sons.
