About

Dr. Yuanfang Lin obtained his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Washington University - St. Louis majoring in Marketing. He worked in China International Trust & Investment Corporation (CITIC) prior to graduate study. His current teaching at the University of Alberta mainly involves undergraduate Introduction to Marketing Management, and Marketing Research courses. He received the 2009-2010 Mackenzie Teaching Award at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta. His research interests include competitive strategy, advertising, product differentiation, retailing, channel distribution and internet marketing. Professor Lin’s research has been published at the Marketing Science Journal. He is also an active member of American Marketing Association (AMA) and Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS). Dr. Lin enjoys reading novels, watching soccer and basketball games, and spending time with family.
