Alberta MBA Ranking Top 100 Globally - Top 5 in Canada
The University of Alberta School of Business has maintained its place as one of Canada's top five business schools, #1 in the country for career progress and in the top 100 globally, in the prestigious 2010Financial Times of London (FT)rankings released January 25.
CIHR Science to Business MBA Award
Students with a health-related PhD can apply for funding from CIHR to pursue an MBA degree. Full details on eligibility, funding, and the application process are available from CIHR. The deadline for applications is March 1st, 2010.
Case Competitions
In addition to placing second overall at the Canadian MBA Games held at Laval University in Quebec City Jan. 8-10, our team of 40 MBA students won the athletic portion of the challenges and placed third in academics. This is the second year for the U of A to take the silver medal against 20 other universities from across the country.
CEFE Business Plan Competition
Congratulations to Svetlana Sapelnikova who placed 1st overall in the Technology Category with her plan for Computational Analytical Platform for Virtual Experiments in Micro and Nanotechnologies. Svetlana is a part-time student in the Alberta MBA program.
