Maximizing Access to Capital Markets
Program Overview
As any business knows, “You are ALWAYS fundraising”. If you want to find new ways to access capital markets in a tight credit market, and be better prepared to maneuver through its intricacies, this course is for you.
Whether you are CEO, an entrepreneur or a CFO, running a private company, involved in technology commercialization, or a professional services advisor, this course will show you how to identify the right source of capital for your industry, build your network to find the right sources of funding, and better understand differences in types of capital and stages of fund deployment.
Only through this course will participants have a chance to interact with Presidents and CEO’s of sector specific Venture Capital companies, Investment bankers, and Fund Managers to gain insight into what they look for and how they work.
Through our first cohort, several deal opportunities were recognized and investigated. The participants attended the opening bell at the Toronto Stock Exchange followed by presentations from senior M&A and capital markets professionals on deal structuring and execution.
As a special bonus, Module 3 of the course will be a visit to Toronto Stock Exchange in Toronto where participants will hear from key executives on taking a company public. The course will close with a field trip (optional) to Silicon Valley, giving participants an opportunity to meet with the industry players in the U.S. If you want to increase your awareness of accessing capital, you need to be here!
