Course Description

Today’s leaders and their organizations face myriad challenges—technological change, demographic shifts, global competition, customer/shareholder demands, and employee attraction and retention issues. There has never been a greater need for the development of of true leadership.

Course Content

This module will encourage you to examine your personal views of leadership, to compare and contrast those views with those of others, to examine your strengths, and to develop a committed plan for future action.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • Developing a learning community;
  • Key assumptions about leadership;
  • Current leadership models and competencies;
  • Five “best practices” of leadership; and,
  • Personal leadership assessment—MBTI® Step II assessment.

Learning Methodology

We will use a variety of learning methods, including facilitated sessions, small-group experiential activities and discussions, group presentations, and individual reflection. A pre-session on-line assessment and leadership reading will be used throughout the module.
