Goodkey played 1992-93 to 1995-96, but passed away after being hit in the throat during an off-campus pick-up game after the season had concluded. He was a two-time CIAU Academic All-Canadian. He was awarded his Bachelor of Commerce degree posthumously in 1996.
Brett is a third year Accounting student who has had outstanding grades in his first two years at the University of Alberta. He has played with the Bears Soccer team since 2007. In 2007 he was named U of A Rookie of the Year. In 2008, he was named a CIS 2nd Team All Canadian, and an Academic All Canadian. He was a member of the Calgary Caledonian Football Club that won national championships in 2007 and 2008. He has volunteered through the U of A to help with young boys’ and girls’ soccer camps.
Congratulations to all of these outstanding Student-Athletes.
