Business Alumni Association Mission
To promote and enhance the Alberta School of Business, its students and its alumni.
Initiatives
The Business Alumni Association (BAA) is a strong partner of and plays a significant role in promoting the work of the Alberta School of Business, its students and alumni. Dr. Michael Percy, Dean of the Alberta School of Business, generously provides his enthusiastic support to the alumni and its programs. Dean Percy has fostered the development of such initiatives as the chapter events by helping fund such occasions as well as providing personal and staff support to all alumni functions.
Events

The alumni hosts a number of events over the course of the year. The largest of these is the BAA annual dinner – bringing together more than 250 business alumni and guests to hear a topical keynote speaker.
In addition to the annual dinner, the alumni holds an annual golf tournament, and a number of receptions where alumni can network with fellow alumni while enjoying good food and refreshments.

Since 1999, the alumni has held an annual Convocation event to congratulate the graduates and welcome them into their Alumni Association. This event continues to attract more than 250 graduates, family members and alumni.
In an effort to keep in contact with alumni who have moved away from Edmonton, each year the alumni and the Alberta School of Business host alumni branch events across the country and around the world. A complete list of branches is available.

Student Support
During the course of the academic year, the alumni provides financial and moral support to the students in the School. The Business Students’ Association (BSA) and the Masters of Business Administration Association (MBAA) have representatives who sit on the Board of Directors of the alumni.
The funding of scholarships remains a key goal of the alumni. There are currently two $2,000 scholarships funded by the alumni, one for undergraduate studies and one for graduate studies in Business. These scholarships are generously funded by contributions from Alberta School of Business Alumni.
