Business Alumni Association
On 11 April 1988, a small group of interested business alumni founded the "University of Alberta Business Alumni Association, an organization dedicated to the advancement of the University of Alberta School of Business, its students, and its alumni."
The Business Alumni Association (BAA) represents over 20,000 graduates from the BCom, MBA, and PhD programs at the Alberta School of Business. The goals of the alumni include promoting the continued interest of all graduates in the School; providing a means whereby alumni may join together for the enrichment of the School; encouraging the best candidates to attend the U of A; and providing a support network for students and graduates.
The BAA hosts several events during the year such as the annual dinner, luncheon speaker series, and members' reception as well as events at reunion weekend and the annual convocation breakfast. The alumni also supports a number of undergraduate and graduate student awards, special school projects, and recognition of outstanding achievements by alumni.
