About

I am currently an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta (Canada), Alberta School of Business, department of Accounting, Operations and Information Systems (AOIS).

In addition, I am an Adjunct Professor in the Humanities Computing Program within the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Alberta.

I earned my B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Technion (Israel), and worked in IT project management for 6 years. My most recent industry position was Operations Manager for the software house Jacada. While in industry, I earned an MBA from the Technion.

After a career change, I returned to school and earned a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia (in 2004).

My research interests – broadly speaking – are in the areas of knowledge management and computer supported cooperative work (CSCW), and I employ a variety of research methods: from design science to behavioral research.

My research has been supported by local grants (i.e. Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta), funding from national granting agencies, and industry grants.
