Karim Jamal is a Professor in the Department of Accounting, Operations and Information Systems at the University of Alberta and as of July 1, 2009 became Chairman of the Department. In 2009, the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) made Dr Jamal a Fellow of Chartered Accountants (FCA), and in 2010, Dr Jamal received the Canadian Academic Accounting Association’s (CAAA) Haim Falk Award for Distinguished Contribution to Accounting Thought.
