CEBMAT is a non-profit research centre located at the Alberta School of Business. The vision of CEBMAT is to become a world-class leader in knowledge creation and outreach in the field of addictions research and innovation. By blending business tools with clinical issues, there is an opportunity for business research to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of addictions treatment. The University of Alberta School of Business has established CEBMAT to bring together a focused research effort of multidisciplinary, innovative approaches addressing addictions treatment and prevention from the business perspective.
CEBMAT’s activities are aligned with and complement the
MBA Public Policy and Management specialization. With the belief that students contribute tremendously to research and innovation, CEBMAT provides a number of scholarships, PhD funding, and part-time jobs to qualified students. Working with CEBMAT provides students opportunities to gain experience by applying classroom concepts to industry work. Additionally, centre activities provide students with networking to prominent leaders in the community.
