At the Alberta Business Family Institute, we believe that business families are the heart and soul of our province. Family-owned enterprises employ our family members, friends and neighbours, support our communities and contribute to the growth of our economy.

2011 Celebrating the Stanton Family!
Last year we featured the Stanton Family. John Stanton founded The Running Room in 1984 and since 2004 John and his sons, John Stanton Jr. and Jason Stanton, have been partners in this family owned success story.
In 2010 we featured the Brewster Family. A sixth-generation business family, the Brewsters pioneered tourism in the Canadian Rockies, taking care of visitors at their guest ranch, mountain lodge or outfitting companies for over 100 years.
