Finances for Kids – Life Lessons for Children of Entrepreneurs

While most parents would agree that their children would benefit from basic money management training, entrepreneurial families may have more of a vested interest in the development of this skill set—especially if the family reins could, one day, be handed down.

The Alberta Business Family Institute recognizes the specialized needs of family-owned business members and provides workshops, mentoring, advising, resources and support in a wide range of areas.

Financial Literacy for Kids is a joint venture that offers teenagers practical advice on:

• Balancing a budget
• Short-term and long-term saving
• Achieving both financial and life goals, and more

Partners of this initiative include ABFI, Creating Pathways for Entrepreneurial Families and Rural Alberta’s Development Fund.
