About

Dr. Amit Monga is an active angel investor who has previously worked as an investment banker, venture capitalist and co-founded and sold a US based software company. In his role as the Executive Professor of Finance, Dr. Monga provides insights on industry trends and facilitates linkages between Alberta School of Business and key players in the areas of finance including investment banking, venture capital, private equity and pension funds. He is currently on the board of Alberta Innovates: Technology Futures and has previously served on the boards of numerous venture funds and public and private companies. He is member of the Dean’s Business Advisory Council and has endowed two MBA Finance scholarships to support excellence in capital markets and venture capital.
